Aromatherapy

What is Aromatherapy?

Aromatherapy is the healing practice of using essential oils from plants for therapeutic benefit. When inhaled, scent molecules travel from the olfactory nerves directly to the brain to impact the amygdala, the emotional centre of the brain responsible for behaviour, emotional control and learning. Oils are blended with a carrier oil and massaged into the skin for relaxation, stress and muscle relief and general healing.

Aromatherapy is a caring, hands-on therapy which seeks to induce relaxation, to increase energy, to reduce the effects of stress and to restore lost balance to mind, body and soul.
